Sockets and COBOL, or just sockets in general? The canonical book on
programming for the sockets interface is:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/013490012X
and it's worth every penny of the $71 that Amazon asks for it. This book
gives all its examples in C as it's written for Unix programmers though
pretty much everything is applicable to MPE with its Posix compatibility.
