I had bilateral hernia repair about two years ago so I've been there and
got the scars.  I was off work for two and a half weeks.  I probably went
back to work a week earlier than I should have.  It took about three months
to get over the pain of the surgery (which may have been worse than the
pain caused by the two hernias <G>).
