Today is the first day of the Tri-State Honor band. This is a clinic attended
by selected students from TN, AL, and GA High Schools. They are given 9 hours
to prepare a concert which is then performed Saturday at 5:00 PM. The students
are divided by audition into two groups. The top (blue group) will be
conducted by myself and the second (gold group) will be conducted by special
guest, Bobby Duggan. The concert will be quite remarkable and I urge you to
come and watch. It is always standing room only so get there early. The Men's
basketball game is at 12:00 (yes the pep band will be there though the same
students are also working as hosts for the honor band) the concert is at 5:00
and the Women's basketball game is at 7:00. You could make it a day and be at
all three events. Aren't you the fortunate ones?
