BOOKS & COFFEE

The next meeting of "Books & Coffee," a forum for public discussion, will be
held this evening, at 7:30 PM, at Fathom Liquid Art, located at 412 Market
Street.

Our presenter will be Professor Michael Linton, Professor of Music at Middle
Tennessee State University, who will speak on Carson Holloway's book "All
Shook Up: Music, Passion, and Politics." Professor Linton, a composer,
performer, musicologist, and music theorist, will engage Holloway's
argument, and offer perspectives of his own, complete with musical
illustrations. It should be a stimulating evening. "Books & Coffee" is
cosponsored by UTC's SunTrust Chair of Excellence in Humanities and Covenant
College. The event is free---and so is the Greyfriar's coffee! The general
public is warmly invited, and we are expecting Elvis himself to be present.
Don't miss it.
