(i think it's off topic....of course it's somewhat more on
topic than other threads <ahem>)
the combination is hp-ux 11, java 1.3 and oracle 9i (i think
and no, i don't know the exact patch levels). we're trying
to use java to access an oracle database using 64-bit
libraries but it's not working. when we switch to 32-bit --
then we're fine. our hunch is that the jvm is running in
32-bit mode....but we can't prove it nor can we find how to
tell it to run in 64-bit mode. any thoughts? - d
