Who planned this thing anyway? Did they have an inclement weather clause in
the contract? Is there a "make up" date?
Seriously, everyone talks about the weather but if there was ever a time to
do something about it would have been last night. I stayed up until 23:00
but the clouds were so thick you couldn't see any stars. I am on the road at
4:30 so I had scoped out a place to watch from near the Connecticut/Mass
border, about an hour from home. Still to cloudy to see anything. At about
6:00 going down the Mass Turnpike there was a bit of a break in the clouds.
For ten miles I had one eye on the sky and one eye on the tractor-trailer in
the next lane. Finally I saw a streak across the sky. The smile is still on
my face.
I hope others were able to enjoy the show as much as I did.
Since I am sure my employer has no opinion on my enjoying the Leonids I
remain,
