With final exams rapidly approaching, this seems a good time to remind
faculty of the health dangers faced by elderly relatives, especially
grandmothers, of students.  This problem, variously known as the Chère
Grand'mère problem and the Toadstool Waxing Plan, has been researched and
reported on in the Connecticut Review by biology professor Mike Adams OF
Eastern Connecticut State University.  Further information on this
