Mate! Us former 'jail-birds', always call it "ghile"! :-)
(As an explanation - and before anyone starts baking me cakes with hacksaw
blade fillings - on our tour of Sydney, we drove past one of the prisons,
Long Bay Gaol. I had to repeat myself several times before Bob and Sue
understood that I was referring to a prison. One thing led to another and I
began rambling on about my great escape bid from the Naval "ghile" in
Singapore, many years ago. A place where I was briefly incarcerated because
I'd decided to collect beer bottle labels!) :-)
