I had an Uncle from Oceania that was a "Hero of the State".
(Until Oceania switched sides.)

You did read 1984 in school, right?  Oceania is one of the state of the
world that is in constant war or peace with the other states.  I believe
Oceania encompassed the US and Britain.  Our protagonist Winston Smith lived
in London, Airstrip One, Oceania.
