More memory is almost invariably better. I would max out the memory on this
box. I believe the maximum memory is 512MB, but I also believe it is
possible to have more than that. Memory prices being what they are and the
fact this is a rather old system, you should be able to track down at least
256MB more and bring it up to the "maximum" memory. Unfortunately
Kingston.com and Crucial.com no longer stock that memory, but if you look
around, you should be able to find this memory. It was the same for the
918, 928, 968 and 978, the 9000 series 700 712, 715, 725, 745 and 747 and
the 9000 series 800 E class (E25/35/45/55).
You should be able to obtain 256MB for a song.

Subject: How much memory do I need to go to 6.5?
I'm coming here to ask the experts! We are on 5.5 and wanting to
update to 6.5. I have read here that memory is a concern so I ran
ramusage and will post the results here. Being a programmer, and not
a technical person, I have no idea how much memory we should have or
what the numbers below are telling me. Any tips will be greatly
appreciated!
Thanks a bunch,
Brenda McMichael
