I am not a humor critic nor have I ever played one on TV. That said I will
posit this: The only PC humor that is funny generally deals with MicroSoft.
Humor needs an edge to be funny. As Og said when he saw Ug slip in front of
the cave, "That funny."
Political correctness is not an instrument of the "liberals" but rather and
instrument of those incapable of seeing difference without assigning a lower
status to it.
The only part of the missive to which I object is the referring to Dubya as
Dumbya. (See my post on the thread Tuesday Humor.) Dubya's name is Dubya and
he has a right to be called Dubya. A person or organization's name is theirs
and as such should be unassailable. The person or organization's words and
actions are owned by those that see and hear them and therefore open to
public comment, praise or ridicule. This means calling Dubya "That Dumby*
Dubya" is acceptable but calling Dubya "Dumbya" is not.
It's purely a matter of civility. ;-^)
Pray for Peace.
The opinions expressed herein are my own and not necessarily those of my
employer.

*Dumb, of course, is not a PC word since it refers to handicapped persons,
i.e. those unable to speak. I find calling a person dumb unacceptable
because it is to generic. If you wish to insult, demean or belittle an idea,
person or thing then get creative. Examine the issue find the salient points
and hurl pointed barbs at them. The more pointed the better.
