It's much worse than just restoring.  What application are you going to use
to view the data?  In other words, how will you read the data in an Image
database on Windows XYZ in 2007?  Or HP-UX 13.0?  Or Linux RedHat 9.3?   Or
(insert name of new OS here) 1.2?

I think Gavin/Allegro preannounce a product that will read STORE formatted
tapes on other platforms.  I'm sure he'll mention it again.  ;-)
