Interesting:
HP-UX is owned by HP
MPE is owned by nobody in our community
MPE-IMAGE is owned by a "prominent" member of our community, not HP (a DB
tool vendor, name starts with A)

So, I guess we could have read the writing on the wall long ago about the
relative status of MPE within HP  ;=]]
On the other hand, one of us cared enough to claim a stake
