Please Announce to Students, Faculty, and Staff:
UTC's student group Spectrum (the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered,
and Heterosexual Student Alliance) is kicking off National Coming Out Day
with a get-together, this Friday, October 4th, at 8pm.
Meet and greet others in the UTC community who promote tolerance,
understanding, and diversity on UTC's campus. All Students, Faculty, and
Staff are welcome. National Coming Out Day was founded on October 11, 1988
to celebrate the first anniversary of the 1987 March on Washington. It has
been celebrated annually on October 11th ever since with events held in
cities throughout the country.
Watch for other events during the week of October 7th. Spectrum
meets every other Thursday at 4pm in Flectcher 105. For more information
and directions, please email [log in to unmask] or call Jess Plank
