Dr. Wang has a good suggestion. The Help Desk recently purchased licenses
for the full version of Adobe Acrobat and can now install the full version
of Acrobat upon request. For the time being we are able to absorb the cost
of these installations through centralized funding for software, so there is
no cost to the department. However, I want to make it clear that the
software is not "free" to the University so we would like to install it only
where it is honestly needed.
If you need the full version of Acrobat installed on your computer, please

computer.

Subject: [UTCSTAFF] Adobe Acrobat for $60
I just learned from the Teaching Resource Center that the full version of
Adobe Acrobat, which allows us to read and write pdf files, costs only $60
or so. It will be a great tool for us to publish documents on the web.
Since we are updating the computers with the Lupton fund, I wonder if it is
possible to add this software to the package, and how many of our
colleagues are interested?
