hi all (two or three of us :-)!

i'm wondering about showdev's output....isn't it supposed to
be in numeric ldev order?  i've got scripts breaking (under
7.0pp1) because the display is no longer in order.  was the
display coincidentally in order prior to 7.0 and i took
advantage of a 'feature'?  or?   or?    - d
