Sure can. Reminds me of once I was working on a 937. Poor thing was over
worked and had really bad performance at the time. I accidentally kicked
the plug out of the wall for 15 - 20 minutes before I realized it. I
plugged it back in, most sessions (even network session) were saved, all
batch processing kept right on going, and not a single person called to
complain. I went out to some users and asked them about it. They just
assumed it was being slow :)
True story, but to your question. The impact depends on the model of e3000
and availability of UPS.

Anybody know how/if one can drop wholly, power to a 3000- like if a
fire alarm is signalled, can the entire power to the box be instructed
through fair means or foul, to stop?
