Well, if Wirt does not like the idea of the "unkillable" QCterm,
how about taking a slightly different route... Instead of disabling
the window-closing button, make it pop up a warning window in the
line of "You still have not logged off properly. Do you really want
to kill this terminal emulator window or return to the host session
to exit your application and log off gracefully? [kill] [oops]".

Of course, this only helps with "cooperative" users.
