I have been working with HP to get Predictive going - we upgraded to 7.0 of
MPE/iX last weekend on a HP3000/969 box and everything but this seems to
work fine.

A few of the boggles I found in the installation information are that
JPSMON.PRED.SYS must be streamed before you can do the configuration of
Predictive (and although the note says this should be run before the daily
stream of Predictive no where does it indicate you should have it run to
just use PSCONFIG.PRED.SYS). Although I have learned a bit more about the
new version of Predictive - It is not running yet.

I looked on the web site for the Predictive Support User's Guide as
recommended but could not find it - it is also not apart of the MPE/ix
Documentation Collection or the HP Instant information Diskettes. I will be
working with HP again tonight and would like to cause as little down time to
my users as possible. Any suggestions as to what we are doing wrong would be
helpful.

Also I have been looking for notes on how to take down JPSMON.PRED.SYS
without doing a Job Abort and can not find any notes on this either.

One more note: the last step in the installation after the SLT is made is
to do a full system backup using: ":STORE /;*T;DIRECTORY;SHOW" is this the
same as a ":STORE @[log in to unmask]@;*T;DIRECTORY;SHOW"? It seems like it should be but
I just wanted to make sure.

Like I said any help, I really would be grateful for and I should be back at
my desk after 9:00 am Pacific Time - Time now to get a few hours shut eye.

Once again,
Thank you,
Cat
