Ray,

I have not worked much with XP, but I am sure it works the same.

Delete the WUtemp folder and try again.

Cheers,

Subject: Re: [HP3000-L] Windows XP Home

Last night, I tried to download the updates to XP from the MS WEB page.
When I got to the download page, the MS WEB site instructed me: "You
must
download an update to the 'download updates software' to continue, Click
Here", so I do the Click Here. The MS WEB site starts to grind, and
then
repeats the instructions "You must download an update to the 'download
updates software' to continue, Click Here". Yes, folks, I was stuck in
what
has to be the mother of all loops...I need to download the updates from
MS
for XP to function correctly, but I can't get the updates because MS
won't
function correctly!!!

Even after reboots, I could not get past this point on the MS WEB XP
updates
page!!!

AHHHHH!!
