I was delighted to see that Document Source has opened a window in Lupton
Library--until I took materials to the window for photocopying. I felt like
I had entered the Twilight Zone, however, when I was told that Document
Source is prevented from copying any material from books or journals! What
can be copied? My syllabus...or handwritten notes. All other materials must
be copied at self-service copiers located elsewhere in the library.
Well fine. But then why have we dedicated valuable library space to provide
a "service" of dubious utility? Why not eject Document Source, and
introduce more self-service copiers?
