Hi donna,

If you don't power down the DTC, you can have the HP read the configuration
from it. As MANAGER.SYS, type DTCCNTRL and pick option 3, "automatically add
a new DTC". It will prompt:

**** Make sure your DTC is turned on NOW ****

Enter the DTC LAN address in the format of xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx or press
   RETURN to exit:

DTCCNTRL will do the rest.

HTH,
Thanks,
Patrick

Subject: [HP3000-L] copying dtc configuration?

hi all!

i've got a 927 system in production that's going to be exchanged with/for
918. the current system has a dtc connected to it....and the new box needs
that information added to it. while i realize that i could painfully (and
error-prone-ly (yes, that's a word :-)) type everything in by hand....i was
wondering if there's a better way? i should add that the current system is
running 5.5 and the
replacement box is running 6.5. - d
