For those of you who are luxuriating in your brightly lit, comfortably cool
computer rooms today, it is only fitting that you raise your chilled can of
Coke in honor of Willis Carrier. Today is the 100th anniversary of his
invention of the refridgeration process: July 17, 1902. Willis Carrier has
since garnered a lot of fans -- both human and mechanical.
