Subject: Re: MPE/iX upgrade to 6.5

Search the archives http://raven.utc.edu/archives/hp3000-l.html - quite
a bit has been written on this subject. The main thing to keep in mind
is 6.0 is the last release that will support HP-IB devices, 6.5 will
not. For 6.5 be sure each and every scsi device has the pseudo
controller in the configuration.

I'm curious why people keep asking about going to 6.5 and not 7.0. Unless
you have a 9X7 box you can go directly to 7.0 from 6.0 like I did back in
December. I've installed all patches since that point and have had no
problems. Is there some problem I don't know about? I'm on a 995/500
