The solution to all of this is really quite simple:

Just have the 9th circuit find that the Declaration of Independence in
unconstitutional (after all, it speaks of God in the very first sentence,
and acknowledges Him as "Creator" in the second sentence)!

Then we just revert to being just a bunch of British colonies.  That is, if
the British are dumb enough to take us back – they may be too smart for
that.

BTW, the way these threads have gone, I think the word that needs to be
removed from the pledge is “indivisible” !  :-p
