On a more serious note, Detroit just observed the 20th anniversary of the
death of Vincent Chin.  A couple of laid-off autoworkers thought the 27 year
old Chinese man was Japanese and beat him to death with a baseball bat.
Incredibly, the two men were only given fines and probation.

I hope that the frustration toward the government and businesses is not
taken out against our "H1B friends" and that we don't see a repeat
performance of what was truly an incredibly ugly event.
