Correct. V/P had the disk caching but not the tables expansion
hard/soft/firmware.

Yes. It required a board swap on 4xs, and it came with WCS (Writable Control
Storage ?) on 6x s and 70s. BTW, 37s and Micros were also WCS machines, and
they never required a board upgrade to go to tables expansion. Which is also
explained by the fact that these later boxes ALWAYS were tables
expansion-enabled.
