I have gone so far as to reconfigure another printer port (one that I
know is working for an HP 2934A) and connect the Zebra printer to it
with the same results.  When I connect the 2934A back up - it works.

This would suggest a problem with the printer - but we have tried three
different Zebra printers - same result.

These devices have been working just fine for over a month now on our
new A500 system.  The mystery - and my trial / error efforts to resolve
have just increased.

Check the viability of the signal....could be cabling that's going bad
