<plug> our TAPEDISK product includes TAPETAPE, which can copy
arbitrary tapes from one tape drive to another.

(If you don't have two drives, TAPEDISK will copy a tape to an
optionally compressed disk file, and the included DISKTAPE will copy
it back out to a new tape, later.)
