And I believe you are right.  Due to some confusion about our normal
practices here, I mistakenly decided that the first two bytes could not be
the CALENDAR date; but I have since confirmed that they are.  Thanks.

Now I must ask a related question: is there a bug in FORMSPEC's "List Forms
File" option?  Here is the output from one such request for a forms file
that I compiled this morning:
