Hi HP3000-L,

The Perl 5.8.0 Release Candidate #1 distribution has just been built on
invent3k.  If you are heavily into Perl on MPE, you might want to test your
stuff on invent3k to make sure it's happy with 5.8.0 RC1.

Please report any suspected porting problems to me ASAP so I can try to get
them fixed before 5.8.0 goes GR.
