In that case, assuming you have no HP-IB devices you want to keep, I'd
recommend 7.0 PP1. You did not mention a PowerPatch tape, but 7.0 is
currently at PowerPatch 1 and 6.5 is at PowerPatch 3. Whichever OS you
choose, be sure you also install the latest PowerPatch. And, since you are
already facing a long day/night, you might as well install all the relevant
post-PowerPatch patches.
