Thanks Dave. It never ceases to amaze me the stupid things people do and I
include myself, hell I'm on the top of the list. After all the dives I've
done over a lot of years, I continually have to fight to remind myself not
to be complacent.
I've never been afraid of being u/w, although I've scared myself more than
once in the water, and in almost all cases it was cuz' I wasn't diving
within my limits, for that day & time.
I did a dive the weekend before last, and as I think about it now, I did
some incredibly silly things, and any one of them could have bit me in the
ass big time.
Articles like these point out that even us barnacle encrusted divers ain't
bullet proof.
Ed
Really feeling my age today, pulled something this weekend and can hardly
walk today. I'm seriously considering taking the Summer off from diving (vis
sucks anyway) and try to get in better shape (note - I didn't say get in
shape).
Thirty years ago if I'd known the consequences I'd have taken better care of
the body.
