Obviously this topic has now moved on to the middle east problem.

I'm always amazed that how people see Israel as having the moral high
ground. I get the impression from my American colleagues here in Europe
that the US news only shows the 'bad' things that Palestinians does and
doesn't show what the Israelis do.

Someone raised a good point, saying that the Israelis used the Army, so that
was ok, but the Palestinians were terrorists (ok my interpretation). From
my point of view, often there is no difference between an Army and a
terrorist organisation. Israeli soldiers often shoot to kill innocent women
and children, is it ok because they wear a uniform. Are they any better or
worse than a suicide bomber, at least the suicide bomber kills himself.

I think they (Israel and Palestine) are just as bad as each other, but I
probably have some slight sympathy with Palestine, as they are under massive
oppression from Israel.

Why is dropping bombs on a hospital or a village in Afghanistan acceptable,
why is that any more morally correct than what a terrorist does.

The scary thing for me is that in the US, you are now allowed to arrest
anyone who is a foreigner and have them executed with no proof, no trial and
no jury, isn't it meant to be the land of the free. Not too different from
previous dictators a little further south.
