this is a known bug. There is a patch available to correct the file's
access rights. They should be 444. You can correct them as MANAGER.SYS
using
:chmod.hpbin "444 /etc/profile"

Hello all,
I am fairly new to the HP3000 and its administration.  I have a problem
installing and configuring Sendmail ix as downloaded from the HP website.
When I sign on as Server.sendmail then issue the XEQ SH.HPBIN.SYS -L  to
run
the DNS check - I get the message "cannot open script "/etc/profile":
Permission denied"  then this "$" as a prompt.
Any and all help is appreciated as this is new territory for me.
