there may be a better way, but this has always worked for me:
I have two files, one called sq2esc and another called esc2sq, containing
the expected...
cq\'27\~\@
and
cq\~\'27\@
actually this is not true; my files contain a hard escape, but if you do
/set decimal on
the above will work.
