But what I would suggest and it cannot be done, is also collect this data
over many many decades before jumping to conclusions.  Yes, the Earth is
either a) warming, or b) cooling but for how long a period???

Note that the fact that the Earth is either warming or cooling at any one
point in time says NOTHING about WHY it is doing so.  Or what if anything we
as simple humans can do about it.
