Guy:

Great question! Thanks for asking.

The fossil record is a testament to catastrophe on a global scale. Billions
of creatures suddenly buried in sediments and preserved (fossilized) in
great detail before they could decay. The larger, more capable creatures
generally found above the smaller, slower ones. These are just a couple of
pieces of the massive body of evidence showing how the Noahic flood in the
book of Genesis is the best and most logical model that explains the facts
of the fossil record as we find it today, not only in John Day, but around
the globe.

You have a choice of dozens of books, as well as a great many articles,
written at every level from grade schooler to Ph.D. that can explain the
details and answer any questions you might have in a manner far better than
I can. There are many creation related organizations and resource centers
around the world. Type "Genesis Flood" in Google and have fun!

Lou

Lou,

Just this morning, one of my fellow Toastmasters mentioned a trip to John
Day (the town) in North Central Oregon. They have a fairly well known
fossil bed there. Where do these remains of dinosaurs fit into the Biblical
picture?
