They haven't given me the "_" variant.  I get the feeling the "." variant
will be it.

John noted the NSK connection too.

Trust me; despite appearances to the contrary, there are many folks inside
of HP sincerely interested in MPE customers beyond just migrating them to
HP-UX.  I am not alone in lamenting the decision to desupport MPE, but,
given it, I will do my very best to help in whatever way I can.  If any MPE
customer can work through the emotions and bring themselves to take a look
at another HP technology, especially VMS or NSK, I'd be willing to provide
assistance.
