I don't want to start a lengthy thread on netiquette or mailing
list basics (or complain about the volume of off-topic postings ;-)
but Tim's advice/reminder is a good one, IMO.

Adjusting the subject line of a reply when changing the topic in
its content (to off-topic or just another on-topic issue) would be
a great help to improve the usefulness of the list/group.

Oh, trimming the quoted content in a reply is another advice ;-)
