I want to offer a clarification of information being reported
regarding the triple slaying in Apison.

Peter Billington (spelling verified by the Hamilton County Sheriff's
Department), the suspect, has never been a UTC student.

Amanda Billington was a May 2001 graduate of UTC with a bachelor's
degree and currently a master's student in our criminal justice
program.

We have contacted the Sheriff's Department and local media with the
correct information.
