The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development offers awards of
$55,000 to encourage recent PhDs to undertake research on topics of
interest to HUD, including research on urban housing and economic and
community development.

Eligible applicants must have received their PhD degrees no earlier than
January 1, 1997.  Complete information is available at
