So if the manual said immediately begin your ascent when you get a warning,
and oh by the way, that will happen about 20 minutes into your dive, how
many units do you suppose they would sell? 10?  25?  100?  Maybe a few
thousand to all the SP faithful and dealers.

Honesty may be the best policy but it doesn't sell flawed merchandise.
