I got scorched on the first trip, making a split between collect and
calling card to talk with the [now ex-]wife.  Somewhere along the way
some of the calls worked out to about $10/minute (yes dollars, not
pesos).  After that, I used the phone place just south of the Bahia to
tell her to call me back in the room (*MUCH* cheaper).

The blitzkrieg phones looked dangerous and I haven't risked using them
yet, despite them popping up one or two PER BLOCK around town square.

Jeff
