Larry;
The VB manual seems to indicate that what you're converting need to be a
string.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Reflection Date Conversion
I'm writing a VB script in Reflection and I'm having trouble converting a
number back into a date once I've modified it using the InputBox statement.
Here's what I've got
req_date = Format(Now(), "YYMMDD")
hpfile = InputBox("Enter the DATE (yymmdd) of file to use? ",
"HP Transfer File Name", req_date)
the results is 020404
I can modify this date using the inputbox.
Once this is done I need to convert the variable (hpfile) back into
a date for calculation purposes. I've tested "FORMAT, CDATE" and other
functions I can't remember and I'm not having any luck. Can someone out
there point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance,
Larry <I'm going to lunch to clear my thoughts> Barnes
