Anybody get "Inc." magazine? Check out April's last page, titled
"archive", where they feature historic moments of business past. This
month it's about the history of the HP Way, and how in 1957 Bill and Dave
feared losing the company's "knack for innovation" due to their sudden
rapid growth. So, they pulled EVERY manager together, brainstormed for
several days at a resort, and "drafted values and objectives" that would
become the foundation for the vaunted (and perhaps lost) "HP Way". It
worked for 30 or 40 years...not bad.
