The next Chattanooga Writers Guild meeting is coming up Tuesday, April 9th.
In celebration of National Poetry Month we will be featuring Sandra Meek, a
poet & professor at Berry College. She is great, don't miss it!
When: Tuesday, April 9th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Where: The Patten House (UTC Faculty Club)
What: The Chattanooga Writers Guild monthly meeting. The first hour will
include Sandra's reading; the 2nd hour there will be time for talking w/
Sandra & mingling with other area writers.
More about the Author:
Sandra Meek is an assistant professor of English at Berry College where she
teaches creative writing and contemporary literature. She received a M.F.A.
in Creative Writing from Colorado State University and a PhD in English,
Creative Writing, from the University of Denver. She also served as a Peace
Corps volunteer in Manyana, Botswana, from 1989-1991. Her poems have
appeared in a variety of literary journals, such as "The Iowa Review," "The
Kenyon Review," and "Prairie Scooner."
