Was trying to find a way for a command file to detect if it was run from the
CI prompt or via a Cobol program via the HPCICOMMAND intrinsic. During my
experimentation I obtained a strange result from the HPFILE variable.
Anybody got an explanation for the following:
Command file TEST.ROBERT.SYSDEV contains
showvar hpfile
echo HPFILE = !hpfile
showvar hpfile
Run from the CI prompt it displays
HPFILE =
HPFILE = TEST.ROBERT.SYSDEV
HPFILE =
Run from a Cobol program via the HPCICOMMAND intrinsic it displays
HPFILE = TEST.ROBERT.SYSDEV
HPFILE = TEST.ROBERT.SYSDEV
HPFILE = TEST.ROBERT.SYSDEV
Environment is MPE/iX 6.5 plus all reactive patches.
