I had the same problem when I installed a refurbish drive. It wasn't
cleaned off. I had the response center walk me thru a few steps that wiped
out the first 128 sectors of the drive. Once this was done the system
thought the drive was a new device and I was able to configure it.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Mirrored partner missing.

Hi Admins,

During the installation of a system we encounterd the following console
message :

Mirrored partner missing for ldev #4
Acknowledge mirrored partner missing for ldev 4

DSTAT shows that the ldev has an *PENDING-MD status.

How can I initialize this disk for futher use ?

TIA,
