mark said it well. i have a system that someone attempted to apply 6.5 reactive
patches to using autopat. autopat failed....but we didn't realize it initially.
because of that, the system was in a 'weird patch environment'. i used patch/ix
yesterday to clean-up the mess and all seems well. unfortunately, that mean stm is
working now :-) - d
